I’m sorry for all the time I’ve missed with you, Substack, and I promise to make that up for you this year. I played ONE AAA game last year. Indiana Jones, and boy, it was awesome. What am I looking forward to this year? I’ve got a handy list for you, and it’s going to serve as the backbone for my content for the year as we go forward.
In 2025, I'm still on the hunt for going full-time in the indie space and helping indie game developers tell their stories. I'm still committed (more than ever) to proving that the heart of gaming beats in these small, passionate teams.
(This list actually started with seventeen items. One of my 2025 resolutions was to make my content more manageable, so here we go!)
What have you all been playing lately? In mid-2024, I went back to work in games retail, my kiddo started Kindergarten in August, and I’ve been attempting to apply for jobs in games, which has caused my blogging to fall by the wayside. I did make some videos on TikTok, though I’ll probably forgo that until its future in the United States is a bit more certain.
One of my goals for the first half of 2025 is to create at least three pieces of longer-form content, whether a video version of my Indie Spotlight, For Your Wishlist column, or an edited Let’s Play.
Lost Records (Don’t Nod)
Scaredy Cat (aeio)
Wanderstop (Ivy Road)
Bogdan’s Cross (Federico Moreno Breser)
fishbowl (imissmyfriends.studio)
Lost Twins II (Playdew)
Mixtape (Beethoven and Dinosaur)
Strange Antiquities (Bad Viking)
Tiny Bookshop (neoludic)
The Vigilante Diaries (Out of the Blue)
