The Quiet Things is an autobiographical narrative game based on real diary entries. The developers at Silver Script Games aim to address mental health issues with a “raw but brave look at childhood abuse and trauma.”
In a new trailer at the Six One Indie Showcase, we’re introduced to Alice as a youngster who has lost her mom and get glimpses of her as a teenager as well. I’ve played the demo for this one, and the story takes place mainly through audio and her diary pages, as well as interacting and looking at objects in her environment.
There’s no release date yet for The Quiet Things, but the demo is available on Steam.
