Steam / neoludic on Twitter / Website
They had me with ‘Bookshop’ with this one, as for the longest time I’ve wanted to open a bookstore with the chillest vibes and whole sections dedicated to authors from Minnesota and up-and-coming female writers and cool furniture that doesn’t match and the smell of coffee everywhere and an orange tabby that’s just there as like an unofficial mascot. (I haven’t spent hours thinking about this, no, not at all.)
Daydream of a tiny utopia – becoming part of a loving community through selling used books from your tiny bookshop.
Enter Tiny Bookshop from neoludic games. This hand-drawn gem has you running your own mobile bookstore in Bookstonbury (how PERFECT is that name) where you get to know the other characters in town, fill your trailer with their favorite books, and gradually discover all the city by the sea has to offer. Honestly, the beach is THE GREATEST PLACE to park a mobile bookshop in the Spring and Summertime.
There are even some mysteries to solve, the website for Tiny Bookshop teases one with a “thief who stole his own painting.”
You can even customize your bookshop and make it your own, from the roof, trim, and siding color, and even add posters, plants, lights, and more.
If you’ve played and enjoyed the likes of Minami Lane in 2024, this one will be for you.
There’s no release date yet for Tiny Bookshop to release on Steam, but the team did tease recently that they’ll be part of the 2024 Wholesome Direct, premiering on Saturday, June 8th. When the game does release, it’ll be available on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
